Dell is searching for a designer with a unique combination of skills and passions to define and design the experience our customers have when first engaging our products through the packaging. As part of a broader Out of Box Experience Team, this person will work with Industrial Design, Usability, Packaging Engineering and Visual Identity to develop packaging design strategies that align with the attributes of our brands and values of our customers. This person needs to have an ability to manage trade-off decisions around how to achieve exceptional and effective designs that can delight the customer with out adding unwarranted cost or waste.
We are looking for a candidate with a mature understanding of the integration of design in the business environment and the specific ability to effectively influence across multiple disciplines. This person must also be able to specifically be the lead designer multiple, high profile programs while at time directing the activities of internal and external resources.
SKILLS:
The following are must haves requirements for this role:
- Education: BA, BS, BFA or equivalent experience in Packaging Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or Branding Design
- Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience including work with packaging materials partners and outside design partners
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
